Everybody wants to have a home based business. Working at home, making your own schedule, not having to ask bossy poo if it's alright to take a few days off.

Well, before you get to that point you need to have an idea of what service you are going to provide through your home business.

Remember, you can't make money if you don't have a product or service that you can provide to the public.
To help you out I've put together a quick list of some home based business ideas:

1. Network Marketing: This is a proven business model and it allows you sell a product without having to carry inventory, hire employees, get into debt or anything else that a traditional business model would entail. Find a company online to align yourself with and make sure to find someone who is already successful so that you can learn from them. I have used this model successfully and I would recommend it highly for both the beginner and the advanced entrepreneur.
2. Work At Home Job: Paid Survey's, secret shoppers, article writers, at-home call center. There are lots of corporate companies out there with a lot of opportunities. Just ask if they have such a program or do searches on work at home jobs. I like this one the least, being that you still have a boss and they call on you more often to make sure you're working.
3. Direct Sales: This is a very efficient home business opportunity. Most people get direct sales messed up with multi level marketing. With direct sales you sell a product that has a high-commission size. These big commissions allow you to earn a six-figure income with only a couple of sales each week. One good example would be a work at home travel agent.
4. Affiliate Marketing: Many home based businesses on the Internet work this way. Here is what you do...
You find someone else's product and you market it online. When a purchase is made the merchant (the person who owns the product) will pay you a commission. Essentially, you make money online by selling things online, without actually having to sell them. You never handle the products or the customers money – you just persuade them to buy and the merchant will do the rest.

This sounds easier than it really is...
You have to have an in-depth knowledge of marketing and sales copy to make it work.
Do a search on "how to affiliate marketing" to learn the basics.

I personally retired at the age of 25 after making money through Network Marketing & Affiliate Marketing. Even now I continue to make a living this way and I don’t need to worry about going into work every day or trying to impress my boss.
